i was told the if i only walk on the treadmill for about thirty minutes and do the cycling in the gym which is my usual when i go to the gym, that my arms wont get slimmer unless i do stuff like zoomba, which i might try, i also diet, can i still lose weight from my whole body? when ever i leave the gym ive burned at least 200-300 calories

You will lose weight from your entire body, but it will take longer for your arms and they wouldn't be toned and strong. If you do exercises for your arms, they will get slimmer faster, and they will be nice, toned, and strong, not just skinny.
